A mosaic of Panoramic Camera images showing the bedrock outcrop in the landing crater wall. Stone Mountain, the rock selected as the rover's first examination target is highlighed in colour.
The rover had advanced closer th the crater wall when this image was taken on on sol 15, Feb 08, 2004. The panoramic camera can now see more of the surrounding plain. The spacecraft's parachute and backplane is visible near the horizon at the left of the image.
