Index [1] - [2] - [3] - [4] - [5] - [6] - [7] Locating Proxima CentauriProxima Centauri is the nearest star to the Sun. It is a magnitude 10.9 Red Dwarf. It is far too faint to be seen with the unaided eye. The approximate field of view is 25°. This time exposure image shows many more stars than the eye can see. But, at this resolution, Proxima Centauri is not discernable. Move the mouse over the image to mark a 5° x 5° field containing Proxima Centauri. Click on the image to zoom in.
