Our Place in The Universe

In a Froth of Galaxies
On the Outskirts of a Supercluster
In the Local Group
Embedded in the Milky Way's Disk
On the Inner Edge of the Local Arm
On the third Planet out from the Sun

Our Sun is one of the estimated 300 billion stars that make up the Milky Way. It is a young disk star - only billion years old. In the central bulge far older stars, around 15 billion years in age, predominate.
