The August 28th 2007 eclipse viewed from the Moon


The poles are shown: south is yellow and north is blue.
The Sun's is about 30' of arc across. Earth, outlined by its reddish atmosphere, is around 2° across.
The Sun is in the Constellation Leo.
Note the star to the right of the Sun, 45 Leonis - it moves about a sun diameter during the movie.
The movie shows a five and a half hour period. Time is sped up 300 times
