This image was taken around 6 am in early morning light. The small wader (approx 20cm) was around 6 metres from the camera.

I had been sitting quitely for around half an hour before this bird caught my attention. It appeared to be wary of me. I slowly raised the DigiBino and took this shot.

Although the bird was behind a screen of vegetation, the DB100 manual focus control, (which is coupled with the binocular focus control) kept the subject sharp.
