A large, angular rock several inches high with millimeter-size holes on its surface takes up the center of this black-and-white image. The rock is surrounded by smaller, angular rocks on a sandy surface. Behind the rock, near the top of the image, is a rocky ridge, and above that are the flanks of hills on the horizon.
A Giant Among Equals
Calling out for recognition like a shark fin emerging from the ocean, sometimes a single rock seems to say, "Come over here if you want something to study."
