In the foreground of this black-and-white image, at the bottom of the picture, the Opportunity rover's two front wheels rest on top of some flat rocks. Just beyond the rocks, several inches away, is the precipice of Endurance Crater. Toward the top of the photo is the other side of Endurance Crater. In the middle, stretching from left to right across the image, is a big hole.

Opportunity poises on the ledge of Endurance Crater, contemplating its daring drive over the rim. Endurance indeed!
