1. The Lund MapHigher resolution image This photorealistic, hand drawn map of the whole sky shows 7,000 stars as points of light and the cloud like glows of the Milky Way, the Magellanic Clouds and the Andromeda galaxy (M31). It was drawn under the supervision of Knut Lundmark of the Lund Observatory, Sweden, in the 1950s.
