Amalthea orbit takes it above and below Jupiter's equatorial plane.
The thickness of the ring system out to Amalthea's orbit distance corresponds to the width of Amalthea's orbit band.
Thebe orbits Jupiter in a similar fashion to Amalthea and a similar truncation in ring thickness occurs at the orbit of Thebe.
