The Orion Nebula M42

Inside the Orion Nebula there are four fiercely-burning, massive, young stars. They are located in the bright, over-exposed, region of this image just above centre. The cluster is called the Trapezium. Their intense radiation has cleared all cloud material from the immediate area, creating a vast bubble of emptiness.
