The antenna cabin installed on the Parkes 64 m dish for the Galileo mission was large enough to house two receivers of this size. The upgrade enabled receivers to be switched easily, allowing astonomy research to be quickly resumed between Galileo Mission data downloads. The original cabin could hold only a single receiver. Prior to the Galileo Mission upgrade, it took several days to switch receivers.
